Canterbury vs Wellington Super Smash Match Prediction
- Michael Bracewell, James Neesham, and Logan van Beek have plenty of experience up their sleeve and will be difficult to deal with
- Wellington Firebirds appear to be slightly better balanced side between the two, at least on paper
- Canterbury Kings are a little too over-reliant on their openers to do the bulk of the scoring

Wellington Firebirds
Not only did wellington firebirds win the title last time, they also ended up at the top of the league stage. They have beaten Canterbury Kings by five wickets and will look to repeat this achievement and start their campaign with a happy note. Last year, they were almost flawless in the league stage, winning nine games and losing only one of their 10 games.
Players such as Rashin Ravindra, Devon Conway, James Neesham and Michael Brackwell were key to their title win last year, but with New Zealand touring India, they will be without their full-strength team. Having said that, they still have some excellent white ball players in New Zealand: Finn Allen, Michael Braquel, Hamish Bennett and Logan van Beek.
On paper, the Wellington Firebirds are rich in talent and seem to cover almost all of their bases. However, they lack experience with most of their experienced players. Their youngsters will need to progress in this next game and if they can do that they should be able to continue where they left last year.
